The Yale University Library has just announced the availability of the Yale Silk Road Database.  Currently the database contains over 6,000 images of sites in the Silk Road region taken during faculty site seminars led by Professor Mimi Hall Yiengpruksawan.

To get a sense of the collection, click on one of the seminar titles to see a list of sites visited.  To search the database, enter keywords into the search box at the top of the page.  For more detailed searching, click on Browse or Search Digital Collections and then click the Advanced Search option.

This database will be of interest to faculty and students working in history, archaeology, religious studies, East Asian languages and literatures, Central Asian and Islamic studies.
